Forte Biosciences Posts Positive Phase 1b Vitiligo Data for FB102

Forte Biosciences reported that its FB102 candidate met the primary endpoint in a Phase 1b vitiligo study, showing a statistically significant improvement over placebo at week 24.

Autoimmune skin disease is a crowded field, but clean early data still moves small-cap biotechs sharply, and Forte Biosciences delivered on July 9, 2026. The company reported positive topline results from a Phase 1b study of FB102 in vitiligo, a chronic autoimmune condition that destroys pigment-producing cells.

Forte Biosciences is a clinical-stage immunology company developing FB102 across multiple autoimmune indications.

The upside case is anchored in the numbers. Across 43 randomized participants, FB102-treated patients achieved a mean 29.6% improvement in facial VASI score at week 24 versus 7.9% for placebo, a statistically significant placebo-adjusted benefit of 21.7% (p=0.020). Patients with more extensive baseline disease responded even more strongly, with a 43.2% mean improvement (p=0.006). Notably, the effect deepened through week 24 even though dosing stopped at 12 weeks, and only mild-to-moderate adverse events were reported.

Phase 1b results in fewer than 50 patients are early and may not hold up in larger, controlled trials. This is market commentary, not investment advice — small-cap biotech stocks are highly speculative and you can lose your entire investment.
